Lee Valley hosted the London Games for the under 17's and above this weekend with a very high number of entries including a handful of Basildon A.C athletes.
Mitchell Etheridge vaulted another personal best in the under 17 men's pole vault for second place (3.90m). Another under 17, Joe Hill made his indoor debut to win his 400m heat in 55.27.
Kurt Rimbach competed through a hamstring injury in the junior men's sprints (60m - 7.61, 200m - 25.63). Joe Peploe had his first 60m hurdles race at junior men's specifications with a best of 8.69 from two seeded races.
The senior men had an amazing 133 entries for the 60m with some hotly contested races. In-form Mark Dyble had a best of 7.05 from his two races. Debutant, Lee Dollard limped to 7.64 after picking up an injury in warm-up.
Senior woman Heidi Nicholas opened her indoor campaign with two back to back personal bests over the 60m hurdles with a best of 9.48. She also competed over the 60m sprint finishing with a win in 8.06.
