Days 2 and 3 of the South of England indoor championships were once again held at Lee Valley.
Basildon A.C athletes had mixed fortunes including personal bests and club records.
Archie Leeming continued on from his fine 2011 season with a silver, personal best and equal club record in the under 17 men's shot putt (12.76m).
In the senior men, James Tydeman added to his 800m club record last weekend with another club record in the 1500m where he placed a creditable seventh in a time of 3.59.82 (3.58.31 in his heat).
Another senior distance runner was Anna Whitfield who also placed seventh (5.00.88) in her 1500m.
In the sprints, senior man Mark Dyble (7.19) and senior woman Kim Wall (7.78) unfortunately did not qualify from their respective heats.
Matthew Scott competed well in the under 17 men's 60m hurdles by running a personal best in his heat (8.62) before just missing out in the semi-final (8.70).
