Birmingham hosted the National Indoor Championships this weekend which saw two successful outings for Basildon A.C athletes.
Gold went to Gemma Kersey in the under 20 women's 1500m giving her a clean sweep of Essex, Southern and UK championship gold. To add to the celebrations, Kersey's time of 4.37.54 was a personal best.
In the under 20 men's 1500m, Dale Clutterbuck finished a respectable sixth in 3.58.35.
